We support organisations to develop thoughtful and thorough policies for engagement and involvement locally, nationally and internationally.
Our experience in strategy development includes:
- Partnering with high-profile research organisations to develop strategies to embed public engagement and involvement activities across their organisation, including making sure that public voices are included in strategic development of these plans
- Working with research teams to provide strategic input and practical know-how into programmes of work as part of grant applications
- Influencing national policy on science education, public engagement and involvement
- Supporting patient involvement in pharmaceutical research and development
Working with the NIHR Manchester Musculoskeletal Biomedical Research Unit (BRU) in developing and delivering a Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) strategy.
Working with the Research and Innovation Division at CMFT we developed and launched a strategy for public engagement and involvement in research at CMFT and created a booklet to support researchers based at CMFT with public involvement and engagement activities.
The Division set up a Divisional Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Steering Group, to set out an integrated plan for actively involving patients, members of the public and carers in the research that CMFT carries out.
