Women’s health research at Saint Mary’s spans across gynaecological cancer, fertility, pregnancy disorders and fetal health with the aim of reducing pregnancy complications, increasing fertility and detecting and treating gynaecological cancers.

The Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine has a well-established research portfolio that covers a broad spectrum including cancer genetics, neuropsychiatry, developmental and functional eye disorders and birth defects. The centre’s overarching aim is to identify the genetic basis of both single gene and complex disorders, through clinical and basic scientists working together.
