Manchester Royal Infirmary is a large teaching hospital and a specialist regional centre for kidney and pancreas transplants, haematology and sickle cell disease.

Manchester Royal Infirmary is host to research across many disciplines, including medicine and surgery. Our researchers work together in collaboration with university academics and clinical staff to address a broad range of medical problems including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, infection and immunity, kidney disease, ageing, musculoskeletal disorder and rehabilitation.
