4ward North Wellcome Clinical PhD Programme – Launch of Round 2
Event detailsRound 2 of the 4ward North Clinical PhD Programme is launching on 21st September.
The 4ward North Clinical PhD Programme, a £5M five year Wellcome Trust award to allow the Universities of Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Sheffield to combine their strengths in biomedical and health research and create the 4ward North Clinical PhD Academy.
The launch event for round 2 of the 4ward North Clinical PhD programme will take place on 21st September, at the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology. The event is an opportunity to find out more about the programme and meet clinical trainees from across the North, newly appointed Clinical Fellows from Round 1 and have the opportunity to network with the senior academics who form our Supervisory Pool. If you are thinking of applying for a clinical fellowship, this event will give you all the information you need to know to apply.
Professor Sir Peter Ratcliffe, Clinical Director at the Francis Crick Institute, is the Keynote Speaker for the event. Sir Peter who was recently awarded the Albert Lasker Basic Medical Research Award, will be speaking on “Elucidation of human oxygen sensing pathways: implications for medicine and your medical training.”
