The CMFT Clinical Photography and Medical Illustration team is made up of Clinical Photographers, Healthcare Graphic Designers, Healthcare Videographers and an Audio Visual Technician. They work alongside clinical, academic and healthcare providers supporting the delivery of patient care, clinical research studies, and medical communications.  They also provide specialist services to partner agencies including the police, lawyers, and safeguarding teams.

Gemma and James are joining the team as Clinical Photographers, with an average of 15 years of practice each; Shabana is a Healthcare Graphic Designer, with 20 years of experience working in the NHS.

Geraldine Thompson, Operations Manager and Healthcare Scientist, said:

I am delighted to welcome our three new colleagues and I look forward to working alongside them to provide the highest quality care and services to patients and staff across the Trust. I wish them all the best of luck in their new roles here at CMFT.

Gemma said: “I am returning to the Trust after a three year break, where I worked at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and then as a project manager in a media company.

“After that break, I knew that I wanted to return to my old job at CMFT, and I was lucky enough to get an interview. I have always felt that CMFT is like a second home, and I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of being a photographer at this amazing Trust. In time, I hope to become more active in the Institute of Medical Illustrators (IMI), and write articles for their website or newsletter.”

Shabana added: “I’m looking forward to taking on new projects, learning new skills and working with a great team.”
