DiTA Webinar: Health Economic Evaluation of New Medical Technologies- 5/3/20
Join MFT’s Diagnostic Technology Accelerator (DiTA) team on Thursday 5 March at 11:30 for this fantastic opportunity to learn about the importance of health economic analysis in the evaluation of new in vitro diagnostics and medical devices.
Professor Rick Body (DiTA Director) and Dr Katherine Boylan (DiTA Operations Director) will be joined by Dr Alexander Thompson, Research Fellow at the Manchester Centre for Health Economics (MCHE) and the Manchester Molecular Pathology Innovation Centre (MMPathIC). He is currently working with NICE to provide advice to SMEs and developers on evidence generation for new diagnostics and digital health technologies.
Dr Thompson will discuss the different types of health economic analysis, and will advise on the approaches that are most likely to be required by NICE and commissioners.
