Divisional Research Manager awarded 1st prize Nursing Research Society of India 2015

Congratulations to Manju Luckson, Divisional Research Manager at Central Manchester Hospitals who recently won first prize for her oral and written presentation at the Nursing Research Society of India 2015 (NRSICON15) conference.

The theme for this year’s conference was “Nursing Research: A Pathway to Quality Improvement to Health Care.” The conference is held every year to promote nursing research activities and aims to motivate nurses to conduct and develop research, to ultimately lead to improvement in the quality of health care services provided in India.

Manju was the only delegate from the UK presenting at the conference and came first for her presentation on her recent research work; Exploring the research culture of nurses and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in a research focused and a non-research focused healthcare organisation in the UK which utilised the practice of mixed methodology in nursing practice and incorporated the need of quality improvement through research in healthcare.
