Greater Manchester Academic Centre for Acute Care and Trauma (GM-aCAT)

Greater Manchester Academic Centre for Acute Care and Trauma (GM-aCAT) has been designed to develop and foster strategic partnerships to deliver world-class trauma services underpinned by research, education and training. 

The theme of this networking meeting is Trauma Audit & Research Network (TARN) and will include:

• An introduction to TARN and TARN’s reporting
  Antoinette Edwards, Executive Director, TARN
• A comparison of changes in trauma care and outcomes in Greater Manchester, Greater London and South Wales 2008-14
  Matt Davies, RCEM Clinical Research Fellow, University of Manchester
• Update on the GM Regional Trauma Network
  Fiona Lecky, Professor, School of Health and Related Research, University of Sheffield, Consultant in Emergency Medicine, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, Research Director of the Trauma Audit and Research Network
