Manchester Biomedical Research Centre PhD studentships
In Greater Manchester, our research is already making a significant contribution towards solving some of the world’s greatest health challenges. Now, through a £28.5 million investment via the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) scheme, we have an exciting opportunity to expand our research portfolio.
This funding will enable us drive forward pioneering research into new tests and treatments in the areas of musculoskeletal disease, hearing health, respiratory disease, dermatology and three cancer themes (prevention, radiotherapy and precision medicine). We are currently looking to appoint a number of researchers early in their careers to PhD studentships (clinical research training and standard PhDs) starting from September, to support this important work.
The BRC is hosted by Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and The University of Manchester, in partnership with three other NHS Trusts in Greater Manchester.
