Manchester CRF strongly represented at UKCRF Network conference

Teams across Manchester Clinical Research Facility (CRF) took the opportunity to showcase their clinical trials activity at the UK Clinical Research Facilities Network 14th Annual Conference ‘Seeing is Believing: Imaging and digital technologies in the 21st Century’ at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds on 12th and 13th July 2018.

The conference was a great success with approximately 350 delegates from across the UK taking the opportunity to listen to a strong line up of plenary speakers and a programme of parallel sessions relevant to their roles. Delegates had plenty of opportunity network with colleagues from a wide variety of research areas and organisations.

The UK Clinical Research Facility (UKCRF) Network aims to identify, develop and share knowledge, tools and procedures for the delivery and management of operational activities across the UK clinical research and experimental medicine infrastructure including:

  • Sharing and dissemination of good practice.
  • Creating a support network for existing and new CRFs, Biomedical Research Units and Biomedical Research Centres.
  • Developing and facilitating key, relevant projects known as Theme Groups.

Helen Pidd, Manchester CRF Operational Director and UKCRF Network Director presented the network update for 2018. 

Approximately 95 showcase posters were exhibited at the conference. Delegates were able to vote for their favourite posters in each category.
