Manchester Dysmorphology Course attracts doctors from around the world

The 8th Manchester Dysmorphology Course took place in The Nowgen Centre this week.

Supported by the European Society for Human Genetics the aim of the course is to educate about developmental disorders and the underlying genetic mechanisms. It also builds networks between young doctors from all over the world and promotes research collaborations.

This year there were 41 delegates from 24 different countries including many from Eastern Europe, Morocco, the Middle East and Scandinavia as well as the UK.

Organised by Dian Donnai, Jill Clayton-Smith, Siddharth Banka and Sofia Douzgou and colleagues from the Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine this course coincides with the launch of the prestigious European Reference Network for Congenital Malformations and Intellectual Disability led by Jill Clayton-Smith.
