New Diagnostics and Technology Accelerator (DiTA) leadership appointed
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) has appointed new leadership of its Diagnostics and Technology Accelerator (DiTA).
Dr Tim Felton and Dr Annie Yarwood PhD (both pictured below) are the new Director and Operations Manager of DiTA – which MFT set up as a catalyst for evidence generation for new medtech and in-vitro diagnostics (IVDs).
Dr Felton is additionally Clinical Lead for all MFT COVID-19 related research studies, a Consultant at Wythenshawe Hospital and researcher within NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre’s Respiratory Theme. While Dr Yarwood joins MFT from The University of Manchester, where she accumulated more than 12 years’ experience as a Research Fellow in the field of molecular biology.
Dr Katherine Boylan, Head of Innovation at MFT, said: “DiTA is a core strategic programme for our innovation vision, and is key to us positioning MFT as the UK’s leading NHS trust for innovation and the healthcare partner of choice for industry.
“I’m delighted to officially welcome Tim and Annie, who will review and refresh DiTA’s vision and strategy as they lead it into this next exciting chapter – which we look forward to updating our partners on in the New Year.”
