The Public Programmes Team is inviting people who are living with dermatological conditions to take part in a series of creative workshops in Salford.
An NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre initiative is inviting people who are living with any of the following conditions to take part in a series of creative workshops:
- Inflammatory hair loss e.g. Alopecia
- Photosensitivity disorders
- Hard to heal wounds
- Atopic eczema
As part of a small friendly group, you will work with experienced artists and learn new creative ways to express your ideas about skin conditions. This will include visual arts and you’ll also be invited to have your portrait taken by a professional photographer. Your artwork and photograph could be used to help raise greater awareness of skin disease and dermatology research.
All workshops are free of charge. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided and travel expenses in Greater Manchester will be reimbursed.
