Applications are now open for the Peter Mount Clinical Pump-Prime Awards

The Research and Innovation Division (R&I) at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) announces three new pump-priming fellowships promoting the development of highly motivated future leaders of clinical research in Manchester.

The Peter Mount Clinical Pump-Prime Awards will prepare candidates for externally funded clinical PhD fellowships (e.g., MRC, NIHR, Wellcome) especially those individuals with good CVs but no existing opportunity for protected research time.

One award is targeted for applications from Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, based on a legacy to support and develop its national role in research.

Fellowships will last for six (6) months and are intended to prepare promising early career clinical researchers for submitting external fellowship or other research funding applications.

As well as the fellowship salary, the award includes provision for a small amount of consumables funding.

These awards are being managed in partnership with the Fellowship Academy in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health at the University of Manchester.

Applications are open now and close at 5pm on Thursday 28th February 2019
