Six-month Pump-Priming Clinical Training Fellowships

Event details

The Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health is offering six-month pump-priming awards incorporating the Peter Mount Awards at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

The awards are aimed at clinicians who are planning to apply for external fellowships to complete a PhD (eg clinical research training fellowships) as part of an ambition to be a clinician-scientist.

The aim of these awards is to provide the underpinning opportunity to gather preliminary data from which to launch successful external fellowship bids (eg from the MRC, Wellcome Trust, NIHR or suitable charity), built around the excellence of research in the surrounding environment.

Local and external candidates are eligible. The awards will provide:

  • the basic salary of the fellow for six months;
  • up to £5,000 for research costs.

Further information and the application form can be found on the Fellowship Academy Website

Informal enquiries can be sent to FBMHfellowshipacademy@manchester.ac.uk
