Translational Gene Therapy workshop

An introduction to the essential considerations facilitating the movement of basic gene therapy research into clinical trial.

The Manchester Regenerative Medicine Network, in collaboration with Dr Brian Bigger, will be holding a workshop focusing on Translational Gene Therapy.

The workshop, will focus on factors impacting the movement of basic gene therapy research into clinical trial, including:

• the selection of clinically approved vectors
• GMP vector production and transduction
• regulation of ATMP clinical trials
• commercialisation considerations

There is an exciting programme which includes talks from the:

• Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)
• Syncona Partners (Commercialisation arm of the Wellcome Trust)
• The Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult

In addition to these external organisations, there will be both clinical and academic gene therapy researchers from The University of Manchester, who have first-hand experience with translational gene therapy.
