Waters XEVO TQD: Two triple quad instruments for routine quantitative UPLC-MS/MS applications, which provide maximum accessibility to the sensitivity, selectivity and robustness needed to ensure maximum productivity.

Waters XEVO TQ-XS: A triple quad instrument with enhanced detection system, which provides high sensitivity and accurate quantification data for targeted UPLC-MS/MS analysis. The system allows for tracking of multiple intermediates with a wide dynamic range.

Themo Q Exactive GC Orbitrap: GC-MS/MS system that applies the power of high-resolution/accurate-mass (HR/AM) Orbitrap detection to GC separations. The instrument is enhanced by a TriPlus RSH autosampler and an ITEX Dynamic Headspace tool.

Agilent TQ: A GC-MS/MS coupled with Markes thermal desorption unit for untargeted and targeted analysis of various volatile organic compound matrices.

DNA & RNA sequencing

Illumina iSeq 100: A compact bench top sequencer which generates high-quality short read data. Capable of sequencing small genomes (Viruses, Plasmids, Bacteria), small-scale microbiome datasets and gene sequencing panels (e.g. AMR gene panels).

Oxford Nanopore Technologies MinION devices: Long-read DNA and RNA sequencing devices that provide real-time and rapid sequencing. The devices are coupled with a computer housing a NVIDIA RTX A5000 graphics card to enable super accuracy basecalling to achieve optimal raw read accuracy. Capable of a variety of sequencing applications, including sequencing genomes (both small and large), metagenomes.

Maxwell RSC: A compact and automated nucleic acid purification platform that processes up to 16 samples simultaneously. It offers consistent, reliable DNA or RNA extraction in 25–60 minutes (depending upon sample type).

General molecular biology equipment: The lab is equipped to perform sequencing library preparation, PCR, multiplex qPCR, fluorometric nucleic acid quantification, and automated capillary electrophoresis for analysis of DNA and RNA.
