Wajid Iqbal suffers from kidney disease and receives treatment at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Wajid is helping to research methods for raising awareness of organ donation in the South Asian community.

On Wednesday 20th May we celebrated International Clinical Trials Day across Central Manchester Hospitals, with the aim of raising awareness of the clinical research.

On 12th May, our research staff attended a workshop to better understand the challenges around recruiting participants from Black Asian and Minority Ethnic groups into research studies.

A CV clinic was held on Tuesday 12th May to provide advice and guidance to PhD students and Post-Docs on how best to develop, present and maintain their academic CVs.

We’re currently looking for public and patient volunteers to take part in a research user group that will support our researchers across a diverse range of clinical areas.

Andy, who has the inherited condition congenital cholesteatoma, was one of the first patients to receive Botox treatment through our multi-disciplinary facial function clinic.

As part of our programme of work to raise awareness that We Do Clinical Research, we have installed graphics on the windows of our adults NIHR / Wellcome Manchester Trust Clinical Research Facility.
