A Manchester Royal Infirmary researcher is hoping to develop a test to accurately check the suitability of donor pancreatic organs for transplantation, after being awarded a prestigious fellowship.

The odds of children having a genetic condition which causes learning difficulties and tumours have been dramatically cut, thanks to genetic analysis led by CMFT and The University of Manchester.
