Paediatric Ear Nose and Throat Surgery (ENT)
The Paediatric ENT research team at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is the leading centre for Outcomes Research in Paediatric ENT in the UK.
Children, young people and their families are at the centre of everything we do. Our research is led by Prof Iain Bruce, a member of the Standing Scientific Committee of the European Society of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ESPO), and the Infants and Children Programme Theme Lead for Hearing Health in the NIHR Manchester BRC.
We have a large research portfolio covering a wide range of clinical areas for both common and rare childhood disorders including:
- Airway obstruction in Children
- Bone Conduction Implants (BCI)
- Childhood Hearing Loss
- Cochlear implantation (CI)
- ENT disease in mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS)
- Outcomes Research
- Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB)
